November!!??!?!?

This is me on vacation! Happy! I had a lovely trip back home for a week and it couldn’t have been nicer. I got to see old friends, hang with the fam, see the mountains, hike, shop, remininsce and chill. Now I am back to reality. While I know I will survive next week, and I only brought it on myself, it is looking increasingly stressful.
Tomorrow is also the start of Quilts from the Heartland, the Bloomington Quilters’ Guild quilt show. Yes, I have quilts in the show and I am also on the committee. My fingers are crossed that it goes well!

Let’s Pass Along the Viral Video Fun
Ok, this is NOT Sarah… it is her husband who should be doing his homework… However, my friend Mr. Suchy passed along the wonderful video of Rick Astley doing Never Gonna Give You Up. This is going around the Internet like wild fire, so I thought we should continue the wave. So here goes.
You got RickRoll’d!

Frenchy Bag

My three day Easter Weekend is wrapping up and I have a tote bag, 1,000 quilt show flyers, a finished baby quilt, and a whole bunch of leftover homemade broccoli and cheese soup to show for it.
Also? My NCAA bracket is shot to hell.

Chairman Meow
Yikes! It has been over a month since I’ve written anything. I might start shorter messages more often (isn’t it the thought that counts?). Things in San Antonio are great!
My mom was here last weekend over Valentines to go wedding dress shopping with me. I probably tried on 30 different dresses at about 6 different stores, and found one that I love! I sorta knew the style that I wanted, but still had to narrow it down and eventually tried on the dress that I bought three times to make sure. I am really excited about it, but don’t want to give away too many details because Tim doesn’t get to know what it is like until October 18th. Trying on dresses, and being girly is a lot of work and we didn’t have much time to do anything else when Mom was here, but did make it out for a middle eastern dinner on Saturday. I am really lucky that she was able to come out and visit to do the dress shopping with me. Sometimes we have a slightly different shopping style, but there was no one I would have rather done that with. Speaking of wedding details, we did also get the cake ordered and am very happy with what we got and how it will look.
Tim is getting ready to go to San Francisco to go to a conference here soon. I am jealous, would love to get out to San Fran again, and to visit a childhood (and adulthood) friend Amy who lives out there. But I am trying to stockpile vacation days for the wedding and possible honeymoon.
Loki continues to get big, and able to jump up on higher and higher places in the house. Plant eating is his new hobby that we are trying to break. I am still sewing, just finished a quilt that I made for my mom’s birthday. It was really fun to make and actually came out the way it is supposed to look! I am reading The Little Friend by Donna Tartt right now and am totally into it. Some people say that it is slow or doesn’t go anywhere, but I am loving it. It has been awhile since a big fat book really caught my attention.
I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day! And congrats to my big brother who just closed on his house this weekend!
xoxo,
