Battleship

Filed in books, family, friends

Tim figured out how to play battleship on our dueling laptops, because yes. We are dorks. It was fun though and I won best two out of three.

I have books and reading on the brain, but haven’t really accomplished much in that category. To be on track for 52 books this year, I need 5 done by the end of January. Amy? Angela? I know others have reading goals. Maybe I should set a page count rather than a title count. Or is that cheating?

I’m aiming for 50 again this year, but with hopes that I’ll actually do more like 60 or 70. But you never know what detours from reading will occur in life.

Please tell me that one of you yelled, “You sank my battleship!”

Of course! There might have been some fist pumping too. Or maybe even a victory dance.

Read Eye Contact, by Cammie McGovern. It’s quick. And really good.

I can’t imagine ever reaching the 52 in a year mark, honestly! Though I did manage to read 3 or so in January, so that’s a good start. I know what you mean about the page count maybe making more sense, though, because those were all pretty short, and I just started Vanity Fair, which is just over 800 pages! Yikes. That should surely count for extra credit.
