Back of the Loop

This is how I always knit:

Through the back of the loop, and while I have been making hats, scarves and such it hasn’t mattered. You can’t tell by the finished product. However the more patterns I read, the more I realize that it might make a difference. Or else why would the pattern call for the different types of stitches? Maybe it doesn’t matter. I don’t know.

At least I know how to do it properly:

It just doesn’t feel as comfortable for me to do it that way. I most certainly need expert knitting help. Finally! A knitting store with actual classes, not just mean old ladies (ahemYarnBarnahem) who only say they want to help.

Speaking of classes, Tim agreed to take a yoga class with me but we have both backed out because in Kundalini Yoga, chanting is apparently involved. Thankfully I had the foresight to look it up on wikipedia before I signed us both up. Because while I want to be in shape and was excited about the prospect of taking a class together, even I agree that chanting just isn’t worth it.
