1. Life of Pi by Yann Martel
I must have picked this up 20 times at the bookstore, being a Booker winner and all. But never thought it was for me. Tim bought it and really enjoyed it, so I gave it a shot. Very different story. I am still not sure about the ending, but I did really like it.
2. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
Listened to the audio book, I enjoyed this tale of new Indian immigrants and the life of their son. Reminds me that things left unsaid by others or yourself can change your life. I also liked the part about the mother reminiscing about her first trip in the US to a store and she is very concerned about her accent. The shop girl doesn
