Softball Sized Hail

Filed in Home, San Antonio

Okay, okay. It wasn’t softball sized, but it sure was loud at exactly midnight last night. Texas hail and flash floods appear to be our very own local natural disasters. Hey, at least its not earthquakes!

In house news…Tim and I looked at houses for the first time on Sunday. We had a realtor drive us around and we walked through 4 houses. Suffice to say that we didn’t find our dream house yet, but we will. Actually if we took different parts of each of the four houses (the kitchen window and built in bookshelves from #1, the yard from #4, the location of #2) we could have our dream home. We are looking again next weekend (and probably the weekend after that, and the weekend after that, and the weekend after that…) It is wierd to walk around some stranger’s home, sorta like you are snooping about.

In aquarium news…apparently all turtles need to be able to get out of the water at some point, so we have temporarily abandoned that project. But we did get another fish that is almost eel like and a frog! The frog is funny, but not very active. And you think that I talk about our fish/crab/frog a lot? Wait until we get a cat.

On Friday night Tim and I went to the
href=”http://www.sazoo-aq.org/” target=”_blank”>San Antonio Zoo for a special event called Feast with the Beast. There were food booths set up from local restaurants (sorta like a Taste of event), drinks, music and games for the kids (which we did not participate in). But it was fun and romantic to walk around the zoo during a beautiful night drinking margaritas and tasting different foods. Not all the animals were out…but many were and seeing that Grizzly right at the end was worth it. We are planning on going back during the day sometime soon.

Tim is working on a new design for our website (he loves it, what can I say?) and hopefully soon the guest book will be functional again. We are also working on adding more pics (from our xmas trip to Colorado, and at the women’s NCAA tourny). So stay tuned!

xoxo,
